There is something so classic and elegant about a neutral-toned wedding! This palette conveys such a timeless quality. I love the idea of mixing different color neutral toned bridesmaids dresses, linens, and stationary and having the look feel cohesive, but yet not too “matchy matchy.” This inspiration board displays a neutral toned color palette with a slight rustic touch. Vendor Spotlight – Enjoy Cupcakes in Los Olivos

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to travel up to Santa Ynez for a walk through at the private estate venue where one my lovely couples will be getting married later this Fall. When I realized that Enjoy Cupcakes was less than 10 minutes away from the estate, I couldn’t resist a quick visit. I mean come on…it was for work, right?! I had heard about Enjoy Cupcakes and how they catered weddings all over Santa Barbara and the surrounding wine country, but I had yet to try their delicious and inventive cupcakes. As a wedding planner, I’ve had my fair share of cupcakes from pretty much all over California and anyone who knows me, knows what a “cupcake enthusiast” I am. I love cupcakes, and if it were at all possible, Enjoy Cupcakes just made me love them even more! They have the most adorable store front in the Saarloos & Son’s tasting “house” in Los Olivos, California and the relaxing vibe is only enhanced by the rustic lounge chairs and tables on their front porch dining area. The cupcake flavors they offer are easily the most unique I have ever tried, with most having some sort of wine component incorporated. Saarloos & Sons also provides a tasting options of wines that pair well with each of the daily featured flavors that Enjoy Cupcakes offers. Stevi & Kendrick’s Malibu Engagement Shoot by Lane Dittoe Photography

When Stevi and I first met to discuss her and her fiance, Kendrick’s wedding plans, I knew this was one special couple and that it was going to be such a stunning wedding. I just had to be a part of it! Stevi and Kendrick are such beautiful people inside and out and their fun-loving and laid back personalities are so perfectly captured in their engagement shoot by Lane Dittoe Photography. The rustic shoot took place at a private residence in Malibu, California. I love the playful spirit of the images and how they chose to include their adorable dog, Izzy! Just precious!

Wedding Decor Inspiration: Blue and White!

I am absolutely LOVING this trendy cobalt and white color palette paired with bold patterns! This look is bohemian and carefree with Moroccan influences, yet still modern and elegant – the perfect combination for a wedding!  The key to pulling this off is to remain consistent and maintain a cohesive overall feel in the invitations, vases, textures and decor. Mixing too many patterns or textures can cause the decor to appear sloppy and busy. With this look, the flowers remain fairly simple, while the elegant and unique patterns steal the spotlight and create a memorable overall look.  Enjoy!

My favorite part of planning any wedding is bringing the bride and groom’s vision come to life, and this all starts with the flowers and decor. No two weddings are quite alike and I’m constantly surprised and inspired by each couple’s unique vision and ideas. Because at least half of a wedding evening is usually spent at the reception dinner table, it’s important to put time and effort into making sure that your centerpieces are unique, memorable and most of all reflective of you as a couple. What I love most about Sara and David is their undeniable chemistry! When I first met them, it took me about 2 minutes to realize that this couple just works. They are so perfectly matched! They met and fell in love while in school at TCU, and currently reside in Fort Worth, Texas which is the setting for their gorgeous engagement shoot. I love this shoot not only because it showcases the perfect mix of urban and country flair, but also because it’s impossible to overlook their sweet chemistry. I’m thrilled to get to be a part of Sara and David’s wedding day and to share a few of their adorable pictures with you from the their talented photographer Helen Bird. Enjoy!

Mackenzie and Kevin are such an adorable couple! I’m thrilled to be a part of their wedding planning process and to be able to share a few images from their stunning engagement shoot by Kate Houlihan Photography at Three Arch Bay in Laguna Beach.  Kate did an amazing job of capturing the playful and joyful spirit of this couple and despite the chilly weather, they had a blast strolling along the surf and cozying up with one another under a comfy blanket.
